“Lean Changlan, Driving the Future” Event at Lean Benchmark Long Changlan Electrical Successfully Held!

On April 28, the “Lean Long Cable, Driving the Future” benchmark enterprise study tour was held at Long Cable Technology. The event was organized by the Science and Technology Innovation and Industrial Promotion Bureau of Hunan Xiangjiang New Area and the Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment and Construction Machinery Industry Chain Office, co-hosted by the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Enterprise Federation, the Entrepreneurs Association, the New Area (Yuelu District) Chamber of Commerce, the Changsha Intelligent Power Alliance, the Changsha Carbon-Based Materials Alliance, and the Changsha Mobile Internet Industry Alliance, with support from Changlan Electrical.

The event attracted over 50 representatives from enterprises in fields such as intelligent manufacturing, power and energy, and new materials. Under the leadership of the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Science and Technology Innovation and Industrial Promotion Bureau and the Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment and Construction Machinery Industry Chain Office, participants engaged in immersive site visits, practical experience sharing, and in-depth government-enterprise dialogue to collectively explore the “lean manufacturing secrets” for high-quality development in the manufacturing sector. Yu Yafeng, a standing member of the Party Leadership Group Meeting of the Science and Technology Innovation and Industrial Promotion Bureau of Hunan Xiangjiang New Area and Director of the Yuelu District Science and Technology Bureau, attended the event.

Visiting the workshop to decode the “lean gene”

The delegation visited benchmark workshops, installation training bases, and ultra-high-voltage testing halls, observing the deep integration of digital production lines and lean management practices up close. Every detail demonstrated the core value of lean management in driving innovative processes and enhancing quality and efficiency.

Lean is a systemic revolution.

“Lean production is not an option for enterprises, but a necessary choice for breaking through the deadlock and achieving development,” said Xie Shilin, president of Changlan Electrical, emphatically at the symposium. Mr. Xie mentioned that as a traditional manufacturing enterprise with more than 60 years of experience in the cable accessories industry, only by integrating the concept of lean into every process and every innovation can the company remain stable and at the forefront of change.

Ding Deqiang, Assistant General Manager of the Longcable Technology Division, dissected the core principles of lean production using real-world case studies: from production process reengineering to organizational restructuring, from resource allocation optimization to corporate culture transformation, lean production represents a profound transformation spanning a company’s “strategy-execution-DNA.”

Government-Enterprise Collaboration to Strengthen the Industrial Chain “Cooperation Network”

Yu Yafeng, Director of the Science and Technology Bureau of Yuelu District, stated that the manufacturing sector is currently at a critical juncture of technological and industrial transformation. This event serves as an important platform for observation, learning, and exchange, aiming to inspire enterprises to embrace the “lean” philosophy and accelerate their intelligent transformation. In the future, the New District Enterprise Association will carefully plan and conduct a series of activities centered around the industrial chain, covering areas such as resource matching, technical discussions, and project negotiations. These efforts will effectively address bottlenecks in the industrial chain, promote collaborative development among enterprises, and continue to play a bridging role in building a higher-quality platform to drive deep integration across the industrial chain, thereby supporting the high-quality development of the New District's industries!
