    Changlan Electrical Stress Control Tape CLYK-30 is a black, 30-mil (0.76 mm) thick, premium-grade, highly conformable rubber splicing tape. It consists of a self-fusing butyl rubber backing and is supplied on a removable polyethylene liner. The CLYK-30 Electrical Stress Control Tape is utilized for stress control applications in joints and terminations across all voltage levels. This tape is designed to alter the voltage distribution in the electrical field surrounding medium voltage joints or terminations. It regulates lines of flux to evenly distribute electrical stresses across the entire area where shielding has been removed. By modifying the electrical field, the tape reduces stress concentration from several thousand volts to levels typical of continuous cable. It can endure temperatures up to 194°F (90°C) and has an emergency overload rating of 266°F (130°C).
