Armor Tape is packaged dry in a sealed foil envelope and consists of a flexible fiberglass knit fabric strip saturated with a curable black urethane resin syrup. When water is added, the resin begins to cure. Once wet, the fiber strip becomes tacky and adheres to itself, allowing it to wrap easily around almost any shape or size. Armor Tape is resistant to moisture, fungus, acid, alkali, ozone, sunlight, gasoline, and high temperatures. It offers a long lifespan with minimal maintenance. It is ideal for reinforcing old cables, splices, and auxiliary seals. No reworking is needed; it's ready to wrap straight from the package. Armor Tape is fast and easy to apply, yet it hardens into a strong, maintenance-free coating. The fiberglass-reinforced composite material forms a tough, durable covering that will harden in approximately 5 to 12 minutes and fully cure within 24 hours. Armor Tape can be used on both pressurized and non-pressurized cables, as well as cables with polyethylene or lead sheathing.Attentions
1.If the operating temperature is lower than 2°C, please preheat the materials to above 2°C to achieve the desired curing effect and speed.
2.The temperature of the added water should not exceed 40°C. If the operating temperature exceeds 40°C, skip the bandaging step.
3.This bandage is for single use. Open the packages as needed, one by one, when wrapping multiple bandages in a single operation.Typical properties
