Signing and unveiling ceremony held for Changlan Electrical-Xi'an Jiaotong University Joint Research Center

To strengthen deep cooperation between schools and enterprises and promote the coordinated innovation and development of high-end power equipment, the signing and unveiling ceremony of the Changlan Electrical-Xi'an Jiaotong University Joint Research Center was held on December 17 at the Innovation Port Campus of Xi'an Jiaotong University.

Attendees included Yu Tao, Chairman of Changlan Electrical; Liang Delong, Party Secretary of the School of Electrical Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University; Chen Juan, Deputy Director of the Research Institute; Liu Wenfeng, Director of the International Affairs Office; Hao Zhiguo and Shi Le, Deputy Deans of the School of Electrical Engineering; Chen Fei, Deputy Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering; Zhao Jiankang, Chief Technical Expert of the China Electric Power Research Institute; Liu Zhang and He Zhiwen, Deputy Chief Engineers of Changlan Electrical; as well as technical R&D personnel and invited experts from both parties, totaling over 50 participants. The event was hosted by Liu Wenfeng, Director of the Joint Research Center.

Liang Delang extended a warm welcome to Yu Tao and his delegation and extended sincere congratulations on the establishment of the Joint Research Center. He stated that Xi'an Jiaotong University has always been guided by the strategic needs of the nation, actively exploring new models of industry-education integration. This collaboration with Changlan Electrical represents an important practical step toward achieving high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and strength. He expressed his hope that both parties would utilize the platform of the Joint Research Center to conduct cutting-edge scientific research and technological breakthroughs, develop core technologies and products with independent intellectual property rights, and cultivate more innovative talents adapted to the requirements of the new era.

Yu Tao expressed gratitude for the support from Xi'an Jiaotong University. He noted that as a leading enterprise in the cable accessory industry, Changlan Electrical has always been committed to technological innovation and service optimization. As one of China's top universities, Xi'an Jiaotong University has a rich academic heritage and strong research capabilities, particularly in the field of electrical engineering, where it has a solid foundation for collaboration with Changlan Electrical. He firmly believes that this collaboration will not only enhance the company's R&D capabilities and market competitiveness but also contribute to the development of the power transmission industry in China and globally.

Subsequently, Chen Juan and Liu Zhang signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties, while Liang Delong and Yu Tao jointly unveiled the joint research center. The joint research center will focus on building a high-end power equipment collaborative innovation platform, conducting scientific and technological development cooperation and成果转化 in areas such as advanced materials and electrical insulation technology, intelligent electrical equipment technology and applications, and environmentally friendly advanced power equipment. It aims to comprehensively enhance independent innovation capabilities, jointly cultivate innovative talent, and contribute to promoting high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and strength.

Following the signing and unveiling ceremony, Huang Qi, Deputy Director of the Chief Engineer's Office at Changlan Electrical, introduced the company's operations. Hao Zhiguo and Chen Fei respectively outlined the industry-academia integration initiatives of the Electrical Engineering College and the Chemical Engineering College. Zhou Yao, Professor at the Electrical Engineering College of Xi'an Jiaotong University, presented an overview of the joint research center and its development plan.

Zhao Jiankang, Deputy Director of the Pu Lu Branch of the State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power Research Institute; Zheng Jiankang, Director of the State Grid Xi'an Power Supply Company; Ou Yang Benhong, Director of the China Electric Power Research Institute; Hui Baojun, Expert from the Southern Power Grid Research Institute; Li Ji, General Manager of Shanghai Cable Wisdom Testing; Gu Xiao, Deputy Director of Shanghai National Cable Testing; Professors Zhong Lisheng, Wu Kai, Xu Yang, and Li Jianying from the School of Electrical Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University; and other experts such as Liu Zhang all provided professional suggestions for the development of the Joint Research Center.

Subsequently, the three R&D projects launched in the first phase of the Joint Research Center reported on the project overview, and the attending experts engaged in in-depth discussions and provided valuable suggestions for project implementation. Finally, Ou Yangbenhong, Hui Baojun, and Gao Jinghui, Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University, delivered special reports.

The successful holding of this signing and unveiling ceremony marks a new step forward in the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation with industrial innovation between Changlan Electrical and Xi'an Jiaotong University, injecting strong momentum into promoting scientific and technological innovation and talent cultivation. Both parties expressed their commitment to further deepening university-industry exchange and cooperation based on this signing and unveiling. It is believed that in the near future, the Changlan Electrical-Xi'an Jiaotong University Joint Research Center will achieve breakthrough progress in more fields and make greater contributions to scientific and technological progress in China and the world.
